10. White Sox

The White Sox take the ten spot with how well they have been playing this year with such a young team. While not a World Series contender this year I believe they will be a tough out in the Wildcard this year. They are very young and will be good for years to come in the future. They need more pitching and a good veteran bat in the lineup for the future.

9. Padres

The Padres I am not high on this year as they have not been that good this year. They are more star names than they are star production. They will need to hit significantly better to end the year if they hope to make it to the wildcard this year in a very tough National league.

8. Cardinals

The Cardinals are the most ok team this year they don’t do anything particularly great and they don’t do anything that awful either. They kind of just exist and I don’t see them doing all that much this year except possibly get a wildcard spot.

7. Cubs

The Cubs are an interesting team this year they’ve had many ups and many downs to start the year. They will need to be more consistent to advance past the wildcard this year. With PCA playing at the MVP level he has started to play at this year they could be one of the most dangerous teams but can PCA keep it up. Previous years would say no but this is a new year.

6. Rays

The Rays started the year off really good. They held the first spot in the American league East for a good while over the Yankees. Then they crashed back down to Earth and what they relied on to win games they can no longer rely on. They relied heavily on one run games and excellent pitching but the pitchers have been figured out and they no longer win as many one run games. They will need to make some acquisitions at the deadline to be a true threat in the playoffs.

5. Phillies

At first I was hesitant to put the Phillies this high but they have been playing very good baseball as of late. They started the year unbelievably slow and have now one of the better records in the MLB. They completely flipped around their season and they have to be given props for that. My biggest struggle for the Phillies has to do with the far future. They are an old team all of their best players are over the age of 32 and they will lose many of them in the coming years.

4. Braves

The Braves are one of the best teams and are first place in the NL east. They have slowed down a lot as of late and they will need to be better for the rest of the year. With the Phillies playing better they will need to be better to maintain this lead over them by the end of the year.

3. Yankees

The Yankees first place in the American league. They have been playing excellent especially their pitching this year. They have been able to fill in their injuries quite nicely with veterans like Goldschmidt or minor league prospects that have been playing. The main concern the bullpen which will need to be addressed at the deadline if they hope to make it all the way this year.

2. Brewers

The Brewers the complete team. They do everything right they pitch they hit they play defense. The big star pitching they have an excellent rotation and bullpen guys that play their role quite nicely so far in the year.

1. Dodgers

What can be said about them that hasn’t already. They have the best team and the best player in Shohei Ohtani. This is the world series for the Dodgers to lose. It’ll be tough but they are putting themselves in an excellent position to three peat this year.
