While many players get hyped up a lot in baseball and are known as these all world beaters. There is one player that I believe deserves some more love amongst the fans and media alike. Ronald Acuna Jr is one of the most consistent players in baseball and I feel like he does not get talked about enough.

He is a consistent .290 hitter with an almost .400 on base percentage for his career. He has over 200 stolen bases and 186 home runs in his career. The only knock on his career so far is that he does have a bit of an injury concern. While only being 28 years old this coming season he will be entering his ninth season.

His accolades alone are enough to put him in the conversation for the best player in baseball. He has a rookie of the year award, three silver sluggers, five all star appearances and an MVP award that he won in 2023. In that 2023 season he hit over .337 had 41 home runs and 73 stolen bases as well as a .416 on base percentage. This was by far his best season but his other season are still very good. He is very consistent so the question is why doesn’t he get talked about?

The reason for this in my eyes is because of his injuries these past couple of years. Him being injured really hurt his case, as it is difficult to crown someone as the best player in baseball when he hasn’t played a full seasons worth of games the past two seasons. With that said with Acuna coming into this season healthy I do believe he will be a top 3 player in baseball and an MVP candidate by the end of the season.
